The sticks act as a pair of markers that you place a certain distance apart on the ground with the included cord. By wrapping the line around these sticks and counting the number of wraps, you can accurately determine the casting distance every time. This is great for casting multiple rods to the same spot, or measuring your Spod rod to the same distance.
